Right now, the existence of the iPad Mini is one of the worst kept secrets at Apple. We all know that the device is coming but when exactly, is the ten million dollar question. Oh wait, that’s the number of iPad mini tablets ordered.The Wall Street Journal has reported that Apple has ordered ten million of the smaller devices, for a delivery sometime this quarter. How many units is that, in comparison to previous devices?
Well, that’s double what Amazon ordered last year for their Kindle Fire tablets, and that sold out pretty quick. Looks like Apple is banking on a iOS Christmas then, with the amount of parts ordered.
The company has still been pretty mum on the tablet, but industry experts say that customers can expect a device with a screen that is around 7.85 inches long, and has the same internals and clarity as the iPad 2.
The price though, is still a mystery, although it will need to be quite competive, considering that the Kindle Fire HD and Google Nexus 7 retail for around $200 each, with deluxe models bumping that price up.
