Seattle Public Library names Kindle winners in Summer Reading ...


The Seattle Public Library (SPL) has announced the 20 Kindle winners who took part in the 2012 Adult and Teen Summer Reading Programs. The annual program encourages everyone to read during the summer and features free programs for children, teens and adults. Participants entered their name to win a Kindle e-reader for every three books read and reviewed.


The winners are: Jin Ji T. Amen (University Branch), Annette M. Berry (Northgate Branch), Reina Buchanan (Douglass-Truth Branch), Alexandra Calero (Broadview Branch), Teresa Conyers (Mobile Services), Shemshia M. Denson (Central Library), Oliver Dunn (Rainier Beach Branch), Diana Franco Laureano (Greenwood Branch), Anna Griffith ( Capitol Hill Branch), Rahmo Hassan (High Point Branch), Lucy R. Holmes-Anderson (Lake City Branch), Kara Jones (Columbia Branch), Lillis Lish (Central Library), Katherine Loeb (Capitol Hill Branch), Anne Machonis (Madrona-Sally Goldmark Branch), Caela Mandigo (Magnolia Branch), Jody McPeak (Ballard Branch), Dascena Vincent (Southwest Branch), Betty L. Wolfe (Central Library), Shirley Xu (Beacon Hill Branch).


The Seattle Public Library’s 2012 Summer Reading Program ran from June through August and was sponsored by The Seattle Public Library Foundation, Safeco Insurance Foundation, Friends of The Seattle Public Library, U.S. Bank, the Burke Museum, The Stocker Foundation and the Space Needle.
