After months of guesswork, Apple appeared to corroborate the date of its next iPhone launch as September 12.
Even though Apple did not confirm the launch, Telsyte research director Foad Fadaghi said “unexpressed demand” in Australia was reaching a high pitch and Apple could no longer overlook demands from consumers or progress by its rivals.
Mr Fadaghi said the new Apple smartphone was expected to be much more than an “normal upgrade” and would feature a larger screen, NFC technology for credit card payments, and 4G connectivity for considerably faster downloads.

Other strong rumors envisage the new iPhone to feature a quad-core processor, making it more potent than the current iPad, that the handset will be thinner than the iPhone 4S and that it will feature new camera sensor from Sony for sharper photos.
It is rumored that Apple will change the charging port of the phone, moving away from the 30-pin adaptor long used for Apple gadgets, and that it will be called “the new iPhone” rather than the iPhone 5, in line with the most recent iPad launch.
Expections are that the demand for ‘iPhone 5′ is going to be high with analysts certain that many people in the market for handsets have defered purchases to wait for the latest offering from Apple.
