Waiting for the house to cool down a degree or two – 78 now, then to bed.
My latest novel, “Terroristic Signs”, will be published by the middle of June and will be available shortly thereafter to purchase through me at this blog or my website. When that happens, I’ll give you the ordering instructions and cost – I don’t have an idea yet, but hope it will be something everyone can afford. I will also see about putting it on Kindle/Amazon for those of you with those fancy reading machines. I still prefer turning pages, and this novel is a page turner – you always want to know what’s going to happen next. It is a real mystery/thriller that you won’t want to miss. Although I won’t have a publicity firm pushing it for me, I’ll try Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere to sell it to the public.
Here is the synopsis I sent them: I hope these few short sentences will make you want to know more. I’d like to tell you more, but you’ll just have to trust me and order the book…you won’t be sorry.
Terroristic Signs:
A young college student named Katie stumbles upon plans for a terrorist attack designed to kill the President and thousands of Americans attending an annual sporting event. Her source of information is so strange no one will listen or believe. Finally, in desperation, together with two other witnesses, she turns to the FBI. When one of the plotters overhears her plans, Katie and a friend are killed, but the other one escapes an “accidental” explosion orchestrated by a hired assassin. Believing all three were killed, the terrorists continue with their plans. When the assassin arrives to receive his payoff, he is ambushed, shot and left to drown, but survives and vows revenge. Knowing terrorists aren’t constrained by moral/ethical law, he uses their own style of evil, shock, and fear to inflect deadly retribution. The trail of bodies he leaves behind attracts the FBI and local law officers, who join forces to solve this mystery plus three other seemingly unrelated employee deaths as a nearby nerve gas facility. One victim there leaves a cryptic note in code that describes the deadly device. But lawmen still do not know the location, date or time of the attack. To save everyone, they must decipher: Bad, Man, Fell, X, Man, Is, Far, East, Man, Terror, Is, Nervous, Gas, Football, Fall, Hide, Three, Two, Fire, X, Cotton, Food, Bowl, Kill, President, Thousands. Will they? Only the words contained within these two covers will let you know and share their frustration when things don’t go as planned. Full of twists and turns, mysteries within mysteries, double-crosses, murder and deceit, the story keeps you guessing right up to the epilogue. And even then, you aren’t quite sure.
Before you ask, no, there aren’t any Zombies, Vampires, Witches or werewolves involved. To the younger generation, that probably won’t interest them – but there is lots of blood and body parts they can wade through and pretend the monsters are working….
These are fun books, but still serious in nature. You will “root” for the good guys and love what Claude, the villain turned good guy, does to his adversaries. No, you don’t want to be one of them.
