This year, I’ve been taking advantage of the little backyard behind my apartment. For some reason, I didn’t do a lot of that in 2013, so I’m working to correct that error.
While I’ve had people over to sit in the back and drink and held last week’s book club meeting in the back, today was a quieter enjoyment of the space. I grabbed a beer out of the fridge and my Kindle off the table, then nestled myself onto the bench in the direct sunlight until I finished my reread of The Giver.
It’s been a pretty quiet weekend by my standards, but in the most lovely way.
