Pokemon finds a home on the Kindle Fire | GamerTell

Finally, we can stop settling for unofficial, unlicensed, Pokemon apps from the Amazon App Store. You know what I’m talking about, games like Addictive Pikachu and PokeCraft . Now, we have as close to the real thing as we’re going to get. No, I’m not talking about an official, Nintendo-sanctioned port of the original games to Android devices. I’m talking about the Pokemon TV app.

Whoops, sorry. Did I get your hopes up? I didn’t mean to. I just wanted to let you know that there’s an official way to watch episodes of the Pokemon anime series, as well as the movies, on the various Kindle Fire devices. Both iTunes and Google Play already have the Pokemon TV apps, and now the Amazon Appstore does as well. It’s a free download and lets people watch the series on their tablets.

But, Pokemon TV doesn’t yet work with Amazon Fire TV. I checked the Amazon Fire TV apps section and it isn’t showing up. Which seems kind of odd. It is a Amazon Android device and you’d think it would be compatible since so many other Kindle Fire apps are, but perhaps it’s something that will come in time. Until then, Amazon Fire TV owners will just have to use the Netflix app to watch the seasons of Pokemon available there.
