Kindle e-book on Paris-Roubaix Challenge Sportive OUT NOW ...

9f1A post that isn’t about architecture or Passivhaus!

As many of you may know I’m a keen cyclist and recently completed the Paris-Roubaix Challenge. 170km of the same Paris Roubaix as the professional cyclists; held the day before the Pro race on Saturday 12th April.

Subsequent to the Sportive, I’ve written an e-book for Kindle that is a guide book for those wishing to undertake the ride. Chapters include:

Why Paris-Roubaix?

Equipment

Clothing

How to get there

Where to stay

How to ride it

Travel companies

Tips on cobble riding

The mythical showers

Observations

Guide to watching the pro race

Links

Afterword

Bibliography

Totalling near 100 (Kindle) pages, the book is interspersed with reminiscences of a cycling mad teenager and his goal of a ‘mini Pro season’ as a 50 year old MAMIL (middle aged man in Lycra).

At the knock down price of £1.99 (Amazon.co.uk approximate price), the book is the ideal companion for those thinking about undertaking the ‘Challenge’, those wanting to spectate at the professional race or those with an interest in the ‘Queen of the Classics’, ‘The Hell of the North’: Paris-Roubaix.
