Netroots Nation organizers revealed this morning that the 2014 keynote address in Detroit will be given by Senator Elizabeth Warren. A hero for progressives, Senator Warren is a favorite of Netroots Nation attendees. Netroots Nation executive director Raven Brooks describes her as “one of our country’s biggest progressive champions”. She will speak the morning of July 18th.
As it turns out, organizers first approached Hillary Rodham Clinton. However, she declined, likely to avoid to appear too strongly partisan leading up to the 2016 election.
