Around this time, for the past two years, Amazon has begun to prepare for their Kindle Fire launch. Typically, they announce the hardware in either September or October with releases following shortly after. So it should come as no surprise, that the world’s largest online retailer is once again preparing their next iteration of the popular Kindle Fire tablet. The guys over at BGR.com have obtained, what they claim are real, photos of the next Kindle Fire in its 7-inch form factor. While no specs are mentioned, it looks like Amazon will be offering both a 7-inch and an 8.9-inch model, just like last year.
As you can see in a few of the images, the new Kindle’s back has been covered up by some black material featuring the “Amazon” brand logo, possibly hiding a modified logo or perhaps the devices certifications which are usually engraved on the back. It also looks like a Kindle Fire from last year, merged with a Microsoft Surface. I’m not sure if this is an improvement or not, at first glance, it doesn’t look as refined or as comfortable as the previous year’s model.
With year rapidly coming to a close (at least for me) we should be hearing about the new Kindle line sooner, than later.
