Laser-Firing Helmet May Remedy Hair Loss | Kindle Techno ...

A helmet that shoots red lasers into the scalp to treat hair loss has now been unveiled in the United Kingdom.

The helmet, called iGrow Hair Growth System, gives a minimum of 35%-40 % increase in hair growth, its developers claim.

A study published in the journal , Lasers in Surgery & Medicine , states that the product stimulates growth of new, healthy hair while doubling the follicle size of existing hair and decelerating or stopping hair loss.

As the published study was carried out only on men, a similar study on women is scheduledto be published shortly and the early results look “encouraging”, the ‘Daily Express’ reported.

The helmet uses 51 low-level red laser and LED lights to help re-vitalise cells in the follicles, known as low-level laser therapy . It is to be put on for 25 minutes a time.
