Almost after an year launching the original Kindle Paperwhite, Amazon unveiled new Kindle Paperwhite e-reader. The new Kindle Paperwhite featuring an upgraded display technology with higher contrast and claimed to have 25 percent faster processor.

On unveiling new Kindle Paperwhite e-reader, Jeff Bezos, Amazon.com Founder and CEO, said;

The new Kindle Paperwhite has a new display technology with higher contrast than the predecessor, however, it measured the same as the original Kindle Paperwhite. The next-generation e-reader has an all advanced light for reading contents with an ease and comfort. Besides, the new Kindle Paperwhite has 19 percent tighter touch grid than the earlier version which will enhance the touch experience with more accuracy.
There is Freescale chip with a single-core 1GHz CPU. With faster processor, Amazon claims that the new processor will offer 25 percent faster performance than the predecessor. The new version e-reader also comes with new Kindle Page Flip which allows to skim through the pages, scan by chapter, or skip to the end of the book in more quickly manner. For kids, there is new Kindle FreeTime to provide books for kids for free time and also gives out a progress report to parents. Apart from some new features, the e-reader has a new Vocabulary Builder, Smart Lookup, In-line Footnotes and Kindle MatchBook.
The new Kindle Paperwhite is now available for pre-order with the starting price of $119, shipment will start from September 30.
