Amazon was one of the first companies to commercialize Android tablet at no cost, meaning they didn’t make a profit off the hardware. The Kindle Fire was released a year after Steve Jobs routed the market with the first generation of iPad at $400.


Amazon Kindle Fire became the hope of people who could not afford the beautiful and innovative Apple iPad slate. Amazon used the Kindle Fire to market its eBook store, even though, the device is more than just an eBook reader. Kindle Fire HD – The base model


The base model of the new Kindle Fire HD is a 7-inch slate that offers a display of 1280 x 800, a 1.5GHz dual core processor, dual band Wi-Fi, and dual Dolby Digital Plus speakers running the new “Mojito” – Fire OS 3.0. The 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX will arrive with 1920 x 1200 displays with 323ppi pixel density. Amazon has promised a 17hours battery life on reading and 11 hours on multimedia for this device.

Kindle Fire HDX – 8.9 inch


The 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HDX moved to 2560 x 1600 beating even the Nexus 10 hands down in display, its pixel density is 339 ppi awesome features of large tablets. Besides the HD front camera, it has a rear facing camera with 8MP that can shoot at 1080p. As big and featured as it is, it saves battery with an extra hour than the 7-inch Fire HDX and is 34% lighter than its predecessor.
