In a recent Press Release, BBC Sport has announced the launch of an exclusive BBC Sport app for Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD Tablets in UK. Already available on Google Play and iOS app stores, the app expansion is to help sports fans to access sports news on the go.
Also the app has seen a series of updates across all three platforms making expert Sports coverage available to users based on their performance. The app provides live news, scores, stats, analysis and on-demand videos on the go. Features like the customizable quick links which was earlier only on the iPhone will now be available on the Tablet form factor too.
The new app will also feature editorials in the quick links menu and includes nearly 41 new sports indexes including boxing, athletics, cycling and snooker. Further the press release has also mentioned that the first half of 2013 has been successful in covering BBC digital coverage of major sports events like the Ashes, Wimbledon, Formula one etc seeing an increase in access of the contents by 27 percent.
Users Kindle Fire Tablets can download the app for free from the Amazon app store.
