Bradley Richardson's Kindle Review | Product Testing Blog

I was very pleased to find out I had been chosen to receive a Kindle Fire from Product Testing UK. I had doubts that it would turn up at my house, but when it did I was very happy.

I received the Kindle fire HD 7.9 inch. The box was very small and compact.

I opened the Kindle to find a very neat looking gadget. It was OK to turn on right away and had over 50% battery preloaded.

When I turned the Kindle on I found it very easy to use. The settings were easy to understand and getting it all set up was a breeze.

I was up and running in less than 10 minutes and found the internet to be very fast.

I then looked at the apps and was amazed at how many Kindle apps there are to play with. I downloaded the YouTube, Facebook and camera apps so that I could start to enjoy the Kindle even more than I was.

For the size of the Kindle I thought it was pretty heavy, but very compact and smart to look at. The screen is also very good. I can sit in the sunlight and still see the screen very clearly. The battery life is also very good, giving me over 10 hours of use per charge. The only thing about charging the kindle is that it did not come with a plug, only a usb charge kit that you have to plug into the PC or laptop. Lucky for me I used my iPhone plug and this worked well.

The screen is very sharp and also the speakers are pretty good too. For everyday browsing on the Kindle it’s great. The Kindle connects to your Amazon account and all the Kindle books you have already on your account sync straight to the device. It also remembers what page you were up to and how far you have left in each chapter, which I think is a really clever feature.

Streaming movies and playing games on the Kindle is fast. I only had a few problems when I was very far away from my router. The games are in HD as well so you also get sharp pictures when playing games whether offline or online.

When I turn on the Kindle I do get ads from Amazon, but this is not really a problem for me, they do not just pop up on the screen all the time. The ads also appear when you lock the Kindle which means that you see one advert every time you unlock the device. the ads are for things like aps, books and films to use on your Kindle.

All in all, I love the Kindle Fire and I give it 8/10.

Thanks very much in Product Testing for letting me review the Kindle.
