Rupert Giles, beloved mentor of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was once a young punk but by the time we got to know him he was a bit of a fuddy-duddy. In this early episode of BTVS, Giles despairs on computers replacing paper books, which he loves for their musty smell. This clip is from an early episode, years before the rise of e-readers like the Amazon Kindle and the Barnes & Noble Nook, let alone the iPad. I like to think that he’d have come around to digital by now, if not for reading than at least for playing Angry Birds.
