Shop e-Readers and Capilano University have reached an agreement today to bring the latest generation of Amazon Kindle devices to Capilano Universitys bookstore. Diligent scholars will be able to read course material, listen to audio-books and make notes on their new Kindle e-readers.
Bookstore manager Brian Ball commented, “The Kindle products are a great way to provide inexpensive readers and tablets to students, staff and faculty on campus. There is a marked trend to accessing course material through digital content and the Kindle products will help students access the information they need to excel.” Peter Carotenuto of Shop e-Readers is equally excited to be working with Capilano University to supply their students with Kindle e-readers and tablets. Peter commented, We are very pleased to be working with Capilano University and providing their students with e-readers and tablets not normally available in Canada. Students will be able to carry around their music, videos, e-books and digital textbooks without a heavy backpack weighing them down. The Kindle devices will be available in the campus bookstore starting January 2013 and each unit will come with a DVD video tutorial and 100 free e-books.
The Amazon Kindle Fire 2012 model is a full color touch-screen device that provides a tremendous amount of versatility for students scholastic endeavors. With a 1.2 dual core processor, this unit makes web-browsing fast and efficient. It has a clear resolution of 1024
