Google Nexus 7, Kindle Fire HD screens outclass iPad Mini screen

The iPad Mini Display has let down many of its fans and Nexus 7, Kindle Fire HD’s has out classed it in many features. It is for the first time that Apple has cut corners and did not give the best display for its products. Many reviews have pointed out the fact that the iPad Mini does not feature the best screens. The iPad Mini’s Display is capable but fares poorly against the screens of Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD or even its own Retina Display screens.

The displays of the Nexus 7 and the Kindle Fire HD outperform the screen of the iPad Mini in a number of tests carried out by experts. It is a riddle why Apple has tried to cut corners when it had set such high standards for displays with the Retina Display screens in its iPhone or new iPad. Retina Display is featured on the last two generations of the regular 9.7 inch iPad’s, iPhone4, iPhone4S, and Macbooks. So it is really puzzling as to why Apple did not feature the Retina Display in its iPad Mini.

The launch of iPad Mini is very crucial for Apple to get a foothold in the Budget segment Tablets of the 7 inch Screens. Already Apple is facing a lot of flak due to the steep price it has put on its latest release. Coupled this with the fact that the screen is only passable and not Retina Display makes one wonder about the logic and justification of such a stiff price tag.

The mood is amply displayed in CNET’s take on iPad Mini’s display, “If you own a recent iPhone or the last iPad, you’ll feel that this screen is blurry. Text isn’t as sharp. The pixels per inch don’t even match what’s available on a Kindle Fire HD or Nook HD,” wrote CNET’s Scott Stein.

However the recent sales of iPad Mini doesn’t reflects that consumers care about all these specifications and reviews.
