Amazon has unveiled a few new Tablets in the past days, if you are ready to get one, you should know where to get free books for your new Kindle. Here are the free resources for you to download books on the Kindle.
1. Project Gutenberg. Project Gutenberg offers most of its books as free kindle books. You can download our free kindle books directly to your Kindle by pointing your Kindle browser to m.gutenberg.org. Or you can download them to your PC and then transfer them to the Kindle via USB cable.
2. Google Books. Google Books are available in ePUB format which is incompatible with the Kindle but you can use the free Calibre software to easily convert Google ebooks from .epub to .mobi, a format that Kindle can understand.
3. Open Library. Library catalogs that have already been uploaded include the San Francisco Public Library, the Library of Congress, Harvard University’s HOLLIS catalog, and the University of North Carolina Library.
4. Internet Archive.
5. FeedBooks.
Or you just search for free books for Kindle in Google, and I bet you can find thousands of results.
