Rooting Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 / 7 on Android ICS 4.0.4

The most advanced and hardcore smart phone or tablet users search the ways to root their device in order to gain access to all paid apps for free from Google Play just right after unboxing their Android Gadget, If you don’t know much about Rooting then let me tell you that in IOS there is Jailbreaking and in Android it is known as Rooting.


As you all know that Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD is recently announced by Amazon in an extra ordinary event. Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD got around 700,000 pre-orders in first week after the launch day as it have easy to afford price, accessories, advanced music app inspired by iTunes, movies, books etc.



Now let’s get back to work, In order to use Paid apps on Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD you will have to Root it’s Operating System which is 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich also known as Android 4.0.4 ICS. Get ready to start to the process but proceed at your own risk.


Firstly, you need to install ADB on your computer, If not installed yet then kindly do it by downloading Android SDK from Google’s Official Website.


1. Enable ADB from Settings > Security in Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD.


2. Download Kindle_Fire_HD_ADB_Drivers.zip from this link. Click here


3. Download Download Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip from the link above and open the executable file for both ADB Drivers and Superuser.


4. Copy and paste both Superuser.apk and su to the platform-tools folder in the directory where Android SDK is installed.


5. Now, connect your Kindly Fire HD to your computer.


6. Launch Command prompt by typing “cmd” in Run, Browse platform-tools folder in CMD.


7. Execute the line below in CMD ( one by one ) :



adb shell 
rm -r /data/local/tmp 
ln -s /data/ /data/local/tmp 
exit

adb reboot

adb shell 
echo ‘ro.kernel.qemu=1′ > /data/local.prop 
exit

adb reboot

adb shell mount -o remount,rw /system 
adb push su /system/xbin/su 
adb shell 
chown 0.0 /system/xbin/su 
chmod 06755 /system/xbin/su 
rm /data/local.prop 
exit

adb reboot

adb install Superuser.apk



Alright Sparky!, You’ve Finished Rooting Amazon Kindle Fire HD successfully and is ready to be used.
